All students must have a University issued parking permit to park on campus.

All freshmen parking is limited to the Harborside Campus.

Please note that the G Lot (Harborside Campus) and the Met and Johnson’s Lots (Downtown Campus) are reserved for faculty & staff at all times. Students parking in these areas may be towed at their expense.

resident students Your decision to bring a car on campus should be a well-informed one since parking space is extremely limited. Edmund Hall, Hospitality Center, Renaissance Hall and Harborside Village have limited space for upper classmen. Space at these halls is determined by a lottery system conducted at the conclusion of Opening Weekend in September. Students who do not receive a space in the lottery are placed on a waiting list and issued a permit for the E Lot until a space becomes available for them at their residence hall. All freshmen parking is in the E Lot on the Harborside Campus. Parking is restricted to the parking area north of the Harborside Recreation Center (E Lot) on a first-come, first-served basis for students whose residence halls do not offer on-site parking. A campus to-campus shuttle will be available every ten minutes.

commuting students: culinary, business, hospitality, & technology There are no parking facilities for day school students on the Downcity Campus. Students are encouraged to park at the Harborside Campus and take University transportation to Downcity facilities. Day commuter student parking is available in the A, B, C, D, E & F Lot on the Harborside Campus on a first-come, first-served basis.

continuing education Downcity parking is available on the Downcity Campus after 5:00pm in Johnson Lot on Pine Street and the Met Lot on the corner of Pine and Chestnut Streets.  Continuing education, day school and Graduate school students taking CE classes may park in the Richmond Lot located on the corner of Pine and Richmond Streets after 5:00pm. All students must have a permit on their car, and all parking at these locations is on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Free overflow parking is available in C Lot on the Harborside Campus with bus shuttle service to and from the Downtown Campus.

graduate school First-come, first-served parking space is available for graduate commuters in the A, B, C, & D Lots at the Harborside Campus. All students must have a permit on their car.

practicum The Radisson Airport Hotel and other practicum property sites have some specifically assigned parking areas for practicum students. Special practicum parking permits are issued by the Director of Internship and are valid only during students' class or work hours.
